The Blue Ryno Foundation
Founded by good friends that have a passion for helping others in need of assistance. The Foundations Executive Director(President)is Ryan Klesko, and Chief Financial Officer is Richard Edwin Spear.
Ryan Klesko, former first baseman of the San Francisco Giants (Ryan’s friends and family also call him Ryno). Ryan has been involved in a number of different Foundations throughout the U.S.
One of his favorite is the Make A Wish Foundation in which Ryan is an Honorary Captain. He has been involved with Make A Wish Foundation for many years. Ryan serves on the board and is highly respected by the Make A Wish Foundations family and friends.
The community of San Diego can’t say enough about Ryan’s time commitment to people in need of help and especially children whom aren’t healthy enough to help themselves. Ryan was a candidate for the Roberto Clemente Award in 2004. |

Ryan Klesko
Executive Director (President)
Ryan grew up in Orange County, California, he graduated from Westminster High School and played for the US Junior Olympic team in Australia. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1989, and quickly made his way through the Brave’s minor league system and made his major league debut in 1992. Ryan punished Indians pitching in the 1995 World Series and hit home runs in all 3 games at Jacobs Field, posted an .875 slugging percentage in the series, and won the World Series title. Ryan was traded to the San Diego Padres in 2000 and played seven seasons with the Padres and ranks among franchise all-time leaders in doubles, RBI’s, home runs, runs and walks. Ryan’s involvement with the community and charitable endeavors are a true passion of his, he was awarded the Chairman’s Award in 2001 by the Padres, was a finalist for the Roberto Clemente award, and was spokesperson for the Make A Wish Foundation. Ryan is launching his outdoor television show “Grand Slam Adventures” and loves to hunt, fish and working with nonprofit endeavors.

Richard E. Spear
Chief Financial Officer
Richard grew up in southern California and attended Arizona State University. He has been involved with volunteering, fundraising, event production, and development activities with several nonprofit organizations since 1996. He is a cofounder of the Blue Ryno Foundation and currently sits on the board of directors and serves as its CFO. Richard is the president of a real estate investment and holdings company that concentrates on commercial investments. He is an organizer and sits on the board of directors for the First Milton Bank located in Fulton County, Georgia. Richard currently resides in North Macon, Georgia and loves the outdoors, travel and working.

Josh Cohen
President of the Georgia Chapter
Josh Cohen was born in Atlanta, Georgia and now currently resides in Macon, Georgia, where he attends Stratford Academy, a college preparatory school, as a rising senior. He is a high honors student, participates in several school clubs, takes an enthusiastic and hard working role in sports, such as cross country, track, and wrestling, has put forth countless hours of community service all throughout his hometown, and works at his local synagogue as a religious school assistant and at Camp Barney Medintz, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Cleveland, Georgia, as a counselor during the summer. He is truly devoted to helping the community and his peers with a sense of morality, leadership skills, and dedication, which shows out whether he's running 10K's or playing piano or doing his school work. He hopes to attend an Ivy League school after his senior year and pursue a career in journalism. He is interested in writing, running, piano, guitar, and living life to the fullest as a hard working teenager. He is open to your emails concerning the foundation and any questions you may have.
